Disrespect is an action of being rude or discourteous to the authority or person in charge. It is an act that demeans people and causes them to appear as if they do not know what they are doing. Disrespect does not only work for vertical chain of authority but can also be among people of the same rank.

Disrespect has become one of the biggest issues in today’s century. No matter where you go, you will find one in every two person is being disrespectful. Respect is something everyone wants but does not give. To understand disrespect more, we have to first understand the concept of respect first.

When two different ideas collide, two people fight and then respect is lost totally. Disrespect also roots from inferiority. I say this in the perspective of feeling superior and feeling inferior. Disrespect is affliction of defamatory or discriminative insults towards someone else due to the other having a superior position.

A person who gets disrespected on a regular basis, sometimes falls under depression and have low self esteem whereas he may not have done anything to get treated this way. While on the other hand a person bullies others so that they can get respect from the others.
